On 3/20/10, I planted seeds (all heirloom and/or organic) for:
- Four tomato plants – two red, one yellow, one green
- Two bell pepper plants
- One container of lettuce
- Two containers of carrots
- One eggplant
- Five seed potatoes – two in plastic tubs, two in grow bags, one in a large box.
As of today, the lettuce is sprouting. We’ve had a good bit of rain; I’ve only had to water once. I’m afraid the potatoes in the plastic tubs may rot. They have stayed damp all week.
I moved the compost bin and started anew. The old compost doesn’t look very good, but I’m going to dig it in with some new soil and see if I can create a planting area there. There must be some nutrients in there somewhere.
