Roman ruins

Arch of Constantine

Near the Colosseum is the area where most of the temples to the gods were before the emperors became Christian and tore a lot of them down. Most of the area is in ruins but a few things are intact, like the Arch of Constantine. All of this is 1800-2000 years old. It’s almost too much to take in.

A former temple

The Catholic church holds a huge amount of wealth in art and antiquities. A lot of it is in the Vatican museum. I’ll show pictures from there in the next post.
